covid-19 lockdown: ogun youths appreciate senator ibikunle amosun on relief support to youth constituency.

The leadership of the youths in Ogun State has commended the hand of gesture extended to the vulnerable youths of the State by former Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun who is currently representing Ogun Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Addressing pressmen at the donation of palliatives (food items) by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the State Secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Com. Akolawole Shoremi, speaking on behalf of the Council’s leadership expressed satisfaction in the effort of the benefactor.

Receiving the relief items, on April 24, 2020, at the residence of the former Governor, Akolawole mentioned the donation as not short of expectations as it is a period where all hands must be on deck to support the vulnerable ones, the youths in particular.

“On behalf of the youths, we are saying a big thank you to Senator Ibikunle Amosun, because this is actually coming at a time when the youths are the worst hit of the global pandemic disease that is ravaging the world at this moment.

“And we believe that this will also go a long way in cushioning the effects of the Covid-19 struggles,” Akolawole said.

The Youth Council, being the umbrella body for all youth organizations, has contributed positively to the fight against Covid-19, including campaign sensitizations in hundreds of communities in Ogun State, launch of a Covid-19 Youth Support Fund, and production of Face Masks among others.
