The Deputy Chief Whip for Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Shola Adams, has appealed to Muslim Faithfuls to remain steadfast in prayers beyond the month of Ramadan.
Adams, while felicitating with the people of Ogun State, encouraged them never to relent in seeking God’s forgiveness and mercy even as the annual fasting of the Moslem has been fulfilled.
Addressing the youth leadership of Ogun State, the Deputy Chief Whip who also doubles as the Chairman for House Committee on Youth, Sports, and Empowerment charged the youths to remain of good virtues beyond the end of Ramadan and to ensure that they do not revert to lifestyle that is detrimental to the collective good of the society.
The Deputy Chief Whip assured the youths and people that God will always be merciful as long as we strive to keep to His desires. “Ramadan may have come and left but the blessings remain. Regardless of the pandemic hindering the peaceful conduct of global affairs, the tranquility of the holy month will sustain us through the challenges; I am confident it is enough to heal the world,” he said.
He further expressed his confidence in the vision of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun towards building our future together. According to Adams, “the Governor needs our prayers mostly as he makes conscious efforts, day in day out, to make Ogun State a better place for us all.”
