The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter, on July 23rd, 2020, honoured the immediate past Commissioner of Police for Ogun State, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, with a distinguished award as a Friend of the Youths.

Addressing pressmen at the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta, the State Chairman of the Council, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe commended the exceptional service of the former Commissioner of Police towards law enforcement and crime prevention in Ogun State.

According to Ayelaagbe, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has built a formidable legacy in Ogun State as a disciplined and reserved Police Officer whose records are worthy of continuous commendation.

“Within the short time of your leadership, the youths of Ogun State have experienced great relief and assurance in the policing of Ogun State. You went beyond your official obligations to mentor and inspire the youth constituency in being responsible to our immediate communities and society at large. We cannot be less grateful to God for the grace upon you and the fruitful efforts of your administration. We wish you the best of retirement,” Ayelaagbe said.

In his response, retired Police Chief, CP Kenneth Ebrimson appreciated the youth constituency for the solidarity. “I appreciate the support of your leadership. The success was made possible by your cooperation. I remain grateful for all you’ve done. And I have no fear in the capacity of the new Commissioner of Police. You can be assured of his support at all times,” CP Ebrimson said.

The award presentation was held in presence of the new Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun, who expressed his readiness to continue work with the Youth Council in sustaining the peaceful conduct of youths in Ogun State.
