ogun state government appoints youth council chairman as committee member for micro grants programme

The State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe, has been appointed as a committee member of a Micro-Grants Programme set up by the State Government in partnership with Aliko Dangote Foundation.

The grant to be disbursed under the coordination of a Committee to be chaired by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Mr. Femi Ogunbanwo, will work out the modalities to financially support vulnerable and poor women, households of food-distressed persons who may be disabled, divorced, widowed, or with multiple dependents.

According to reports, twenty-one thousand disadvantaged women of Ogun State will be beneficiaries of the programme with at least a thousand from each Local Government. The grant offer of Ten Thousand naira to every Beneficiary amounts to a total of Two Hundred and Ten Million naira.

Other Committee members include Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluranti Oladeinde, Oba Adewale Osiberu, Alhaja Kuburat Rabiu, Revd. (Mrs.) Kinrin, Alhaja Bisola Aliyu, Mrs.  Taofikat Falowo, Alhaji F. A. Adedamola , and Mrs. Abosede Ibrahim.
