The immediate past Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Ogun State, Com. (Prince) Adeleke Adebajo has been nominated for an Award on Youth Development as the Ijebu Man of the Year by a Community Based NGO for Humanity and Posterity, Dayo Osinowo Initiatives (DOSI).

In a congratulatory letter signed by the State Secretary of the Youth Council, Com. Akolawole Shoremi, the youth leadership of the State via the Youth Chairman, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe, commended the nomination as an honour well deserved. The felicitation message reads in part,

“The entire Youths of Ogun State continue to appreciate your service to the youth constituency, State and Federal Governments on your exemplary commitment to raising a generation of young Leaders during and after your stewardships as the State and Southwest Ambassador of the Nigerian Youths.”

Adebajo, a seasoned Administrator, is a committed and experienced Youth Mobilizer who has served the Nigerian Youths in different capacities via several platforms. In the build-up to the 2019 elections, Adebajo was one of the key Advocates of the #NotTooYoungToRun campaign.

The Owu-Oldolowu-Ijebu Prince has promoted different programs to drive youth inclusion in governance, some of which are International Youth Day Events, Gubernatorial Interactive Forum, Youth Mentorship programs, Entrepreneurship, and a few others. Adebajo, while serving as the Chairman of Chairmen for the Southwest region of the Youth Council, has contributed to youth development across all states in Southwest, Nigeria. He has won several awards including the Youth Ambassador at Ondo State Honors Award of the Youth Council in 2019, '21st Century Youth Reformer’ awarded by an ethical and attitudinal reorientation movement, National Youth Reform among others.

The Award ceremony will hold at Rolak Hotel, Imowo, Ijebu Ode, on the 26th of November, 2020.
