The Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) for Ogun State, Mr. Sola Babalola, has attributed the greatest threat to the country of our dreams as a collapse of value system.

Addressing the youth leadership of Ogun State at his office during a courtesy visit held on Monday March 29, 2021, Babalola refuted the continuous allegation made on either the youths or the older generation as the sole contributor to societal decay. According to the Director, the challenges of Nigeria are not farfetched from a collapse of value system where neither the youths nor the older generation should be single handedly held responsible for the rot.

A school of thought explained a value system as the order and priority an individual or society grants to ethical and ideological values; whereat two individuals or groups may share a set of common values, they may not give equal weight or preference to those values.

Babalola who spoke of dedicating a chapter from his soon to be published book on 'Qualitative Youth and National Development' encouraged the Youths to continue create enabling environment for themselves to thrive for global competition. He commended the youth leadership of Ogun State for the unusual selfless service to youth ethical and attitudinal reorientation, particularly for the sensitization efforts made during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In his appreciation message, the Youth Leader of Ogun State, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe, lauded the National Orientation Agency under the leadership of Mr. Sola Babalola for the committment towards a better Nigeria. He assured the agency of the continued support of the youths of Ogun State at all times.

The entourage of the youth leadership incudes the Youth Council's State Vice Chairman for Ogun Central Senatorial District, Dr. Adekunle Kazeem Adewale; the State Secretary, Com. Akolawole Shoremi; the State PRO, Com. Adebare Ariyibi; the State Organizing Secretary for Ogun West and Ogun Central, Com. Kehinde Damilola and Com Olumayowa Taiwo respectively.
