The youth leadership of Ogun State has commended the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun, on the reinforced fight against insecurity.
Addressing fellow Youth Leaders at an emergency meeting on insecurity held at Ogun Youth House, MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the State Chairman of the Youth Council, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe recounted the recent efforts of security agencies in Ogun State towards the fight against insecurity.
“Compatriots, it is worrisome that this is a hard time for us as countrymen. The recent surge of insecurity across the nation is so unfortunate.
“In Ogun State, it is pertinent to appreciate the motivations from Governor Dapo Abiodun to our security agencies, including the recently launched Amotekun, in ensuring a safer clime for us all.
“I equally wish to commend our policemen in Ogun State for the reinvigorated spirit of patriotism and dedication to continue serves our fatherland not minding the recent outburst that affects them over the excesses of some colleagues.
“From the identification, arrest and dismissal of the three (3) policemen that financially extorted a Youth in Ogun State, to the continuous arrest of Kidnappers and rescuing of victims, we are happy to say that our dear CP Edward Ajogun is really doing well,” Ayelaagbe said.
The meeting held today April 29, 2021, also had discussion on Ogun Public Interest Law Partnership recently launched by the State Government, which now gives pro bono legal service to the people of Ogun State across all Area/Divisional Police Stations.
