world book day: nycn ogun waterside donates books to ogun waterside schools

The Ogun Waterside branch of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has distributed Books to Primary and Secondary schools in Ogun Waterside Local government, as part of activities to celebrate year 2021 World Book Day.

World Book Day also known as International Day of the book was introduced on 23 April, 1995. World book day is a one-day festival that is celebrated in over 100 countries all over the world. It is organized by an agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading.

Celebrating World book day helps improve reading culture among school children. When children read books, they learn more. Reading books help Children to understand the world.
