The youth leadership of Ogun State has commended the Operatives of Ogun State Police Command on the reinvigorated effort against kidnapping, cultism, and banditry in the State.

In a reaction to the recently foiled kidnap attempt at DS Adegbenro Polytechnic, Itori area of Ewekoro, which led to the death of two suspected Kidnappers, the State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, on Monday August 30, 2021, at the Ogun Youth House, described the counter attack of the men of the Nigeria Police as exceptional and gallantry.

According to the State Chairman of the Youth Council, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe, “the fight against kidnapping, cultism, and banditry requires the combined effort of all stakeholders, including the Youth Council.

“As the youth leadership of the State, the Youth Council remains firm in her responsibility and commitment to ensure adequate sensitization of our youths against any action culpable of breaching public peace.

“Therefore, we sincerely extol the pro-activeness of the Operatives of the Nigeria Police for the exceptional and gallant approach against the attempted kidnap of our younger ones seeking a brighter future in the academic environment of the polytechnic.

“Regardless of the amounting challenges, we commend the resilience of our Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun, who unarguably enjoys the political will of our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, towards ensuring a safer environment for us all.

“While urging the Youths of Ogun State to continue provide timely information to necessary quarters in easing the affairs of the Police in the State, needless to say that there will be no hiding place for any Youth who chose the path of rascality,” Ayelaagbe said.
