nycn-ijebu north graduates the first set of apprentices amid jubilation and celebration

The first set of apprentices in the Skill Acquisition program organized by National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ijebu North Local Government Branch graduated on October 5, 2021.

The first phase of the program which was in conjunction with Ijebu Igbo Descendants was aimed at making sure that youths learn a skill or the other that will make them useful to themselves and the community at large.

The graduation ceremony which was held at Ijebu Igbo Town Hall was attended by the Honorable Member representing Ijebu Igbo constituency at theOgun State House of Assembly, Hon. Slyvester Niyi Abiodun , the Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya , the State Chairman of NYCN Ogun State, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe , the State PRO of NYCN Ogun State, Com. Adebare Ariyibi .

Also present to grace the occasion is the  Olokine of Ojowo ably represented by Chief Ogundero Olabisi , the Deputy State Chairman of NYCN Ogun State Com. Senbadejo Olawale .

In his welcome address, the Com. Senbadejo Olawale was full of praises for the facilitator of the program, Ijebu Igbo Descendants, for commiting their resources to the program.

In the speech of the President of IID, Otunba Ola Busari , he explained that this efforts of theirs is just a way of giving back to the community and to also spur other well meaning individual to do more. He appreciated the effort of NYCN Ijebu North in making sure our community becomes a better place for us all.

In their various Goodwill messages, the special guests of honor appreciate the effort of NYCN Ijebu North and IID  and also advice the beneficiaries to see this as a turning point in their lifes and also develop the heart to help others.

After the presentation of the materials and tools to the apprentices, they were full of joy as they believe this is a stage in their life that determines their future and promise to make use of the materials judiciously.

The Skill Acquisition program tagged Learn a skill now and pay your bills later is aimed at making sure youths were engaged productively.

We also want to use this opportunity to appreciate everyone who made the event a success and we pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless us all.
