ijebu ode youth council sensitizes students on mental health as ijebu north counterpart distributes dictionaries to primary school pupils.

 

In the bid to create more awareness on mental health and kick out illicit use of drugs among secondary school students and youngsters, the youth leadership of Ijebu Ode local government under the aegis of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ijebu Ode local government area of Ogun State ably led by Com. Adebajo Abdulrahman Abiodun on Friday 12th November 2021 continued its mental health awareness campaign among students of secondary schools and youngsters in the local government area.

The campaign which was held at IMC and AUD High schools on Friday will continue on Monday at other secondary schools in the local government areas.

In a related development, the youth leadership of Ijebu North local government under the aegis of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State in its bid to promote education, develop vocabularies of our pupils, and catch them young distributes dictionaries to pupils in primary 4, 5 and 6 in some selected primary schools in the local government.

In his brief remark at the event, the Ogun State Deputy Chairman of NYCN, Com. Olawale Senbadejo appreciated Almighty God for the lives of the pupils and charged them to focus on their studies, be obedient to their parents and teachers and shun all unethical acts to become the needed tool for our societal development. He encouraged them that no height is too high for them to reach once they follow this line in their lives as the youth leadership will continue to do everything within their powers to help the pupils.

He noted that the first phase of the distribution centered on Ifelodun constituency of the local government while the Ijebu Igbo constituency shall follow suit. After the distribution, the team used the opportunity of the period to pay a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye, Oba Abdul-Rasaq Adesina Adenugba (OKOKODANA II) who appreciated the team for their passions and implored them to keep up the good works and gave his Royal blessings.
