ogun youth celebrates prince dapo abiodun as the 5th elected governor of the state

MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta, on May 29, played host to the Inauguration ceremony of the new Governor of Ogun State, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, and his Deputy, Engr. (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele. 

The event which was graced by sons and daughters of Ogun State witnessed a multitude of influential citizens including political leaders and technocrats. 

Leading the set of celebrants are hundreds of Ogun Youth representing various youth organizations under the umbrella of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State. 

In his congratulatory speech to the Governor, the State Chairman of the Youth Council, Com. (Prince) Adeleke Adebajo, felicitates with the new leadership. He expressed his confidence in the capacity of the Governor to promote the welfare of the people. He further urged the Governor to ensure an appreciable attention is placed on the yearnings of the youths. 

According to Adebajo, “The expectations of the Council from the previous administration is not satisfactory. This has hindered the success of some accomplishments as the Council needs the support of the government to actualize some laudable initiatives. I am confident the narrative will change this time around. Prince Dapo Abiodun has shown his readiness to support the Council, and we can only pray our relationship gets better for the benefit of our Youths and Ogun State.”

The ceremony ended peacefully as the youths were later entertained at the Council House.
