ogun youth celebrates international youth day

The Planning Committee for the 2019 International Youth Day, Ogun state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, has declared August 17, 2019, for the celebration of this year's global event. 

In a communique issued by the committee on the International Youth Day celebration, the event earlier scheduled to hold on August 15 was mainly postponed over logistic concerns including a notice of uncertainty of the Governor of the State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and other State Personalities to participate at the event should it hold on August 15.

Being the first Youth event to be celebrated by the Government, and to enable due recognition for the presence and activities of Ogun Youth, the Planning Committee deemed it fit to rather key in and synergize with the government's presence to enable a fruitful outing.

The venue of the event remains the Herbert Ogunde Hall at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
