His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland was the Chairman of Occasion at the convocation ceremony of Fifty Graduands Youth Empowerment Training organized by the Eccentica Nation Empowerment Foundation.
The Foundation, an initiative of Chief Michael Egberongbe, the Seriki Baasegun of Egbaland, is saddled with the responsibility of youth empowerment on Fashion Design, Makeup Works, Event Decoration, and others to promote poverty alleviation.
The Chairman of the Occasion, ably represented by Chief Lai Labode, the Aare Baroyin of Egbaland, appreciated the effort of the Founder of Eccentica Nation on his usual humanitarian effort to uplift the Youth of the society. The Alake of Egbaland admonished the Graduands to leverage on the Four Ps of marketing to further develop their trainings.
While addressing the audience, the Chairman of Ogun State Youth Council, Com. (Prince) Adeleke Adebajo, commended the effort of the Foundation for the laudable initiative, with a special appreciation to Chief Michael Egberongbe. Adebajo urged the Graduands to go beyond mere acquisition of knowledge into being practical, and to ensure that the education acquired is duplicated to the younger ones. He expressed his satisfaction in one of the Trainers, Miss Adedayo Badejo, for dedicating her resources to youth development in Ogun State.
Reacting to the opportunity, one of the Graduands, Miss Oreoluwa Famuyiwa, joyously stated the empowerment as a rare opportunity. “For us to have achieved this great knowledge within this short period of time is a privilege. I was a novice in fashion designing but I was able to catch up fast within a short period,” she concluded.
The occasion, which ended with presentation of Certificates and Awards, marked the second graduation ceremony of the empowerment training. The event was held on August 29, 2019, at the EccenticaNation Event Center in Abeokuta.
