ogun youth elect new executive members for ogun state youth council
History was made yesterday 2nd November, 2019 as youth across the 20 Local Government Areas and 21 of the 23 affiliate Organization came together for 2019 Ordinary Congress of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) at Valley View Auditorium, Government House, Isale Igbein, Abeokuta to elect new members of the State Executive Council to paddle the canoe of the Youth Council in Ogun State for the next 4 years 2019 - 2023.
The Congress, which was witnessed, by the State government delegation led by Mr Olude Olalekan (Special Adviser Youths Empowerment and Jobs Creation) also have in attendance top officials of Ministry of Youth and Sports like Alhaji Akanimodo (Director of Admin and Supply), Mr Adetokunbo Salami (Director of Youth Developments) and Mr Ogundele (Director, Planning, Research and Statistics). The participation of the National Leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria such as Miss Awujoola Kehinde (National PRO), Barrister Tahir Ahmad(National Legal Adviser, Mr Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun (Osun State Youth Council Chairman), Mr Eyitayo Fabunmi (Ekiti State Chairman) and Ms Oluwatoyin Owoeye (Ondo State Chairman).
The Delegates which includes 5 youth from each of the 20 LGA in the State and 3 youth each from the 21 of the 23 State wide affiliate Organization makes the Congress fulfils all righteousness as listed by the Constitution of the National Youth Council of Nigeria where the delegates speak with their votes to elect new leadership. Declaring the election results, The Electoral committee Chairman, Comrade Ajibade Adedeji puts the result of the election as follows;
