The State Chairman of the Council, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe, was welcomed by principal officers and members of Majlis Khuddam to the organization’s annual state workshop held at Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State. The event tagged ‘A healthy Believer’ featured programmes including Lecture Presentations, Empowerment Seminar, Officer’s Workshop, and a Ride for Peace.
Ayelagbe, who is also the Deputy National President (Southwest) of the organization, arrived the venue of the camp on Nov. 9, 2019, alongside the immediate past Chairman of the Council, Com. (Prince) Adeleke Adebajo; the Deputy Chairman, Com. Olawale Senbadejo; and the State Secretary, Akolawole Shoremi. The visit was part of the itinerary for the day as the Council’s delegates were returning from other official functions at Iwo and Ile-Ife, both in Osun State.
The leadership of the organization applauded the presence of the Council’s officials as a mark of honour and sense of togetherness. According to the State Qaid, the organization remains pleased to be a member of the prestigious Council.
Responding to the welcome address, Adebajo expressed his appreciation to the organization members on their support to the Council during his tenure and, particularly, for the emergence of Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe as the new State Chairman. While charging the members to remain steadfast in the practice of tolerance among each other, Adebajo expressed his satisfaction in the good conduct of the organization at all times.
In his remark, Ayelagbe lauded the efforts of Adebajo to have established a Council with progressive-minded successors as one of the paramount measures of successful leadership is to identify capable hands to sustain good legacies.
The event, which commenced on Friday Nov. 8th, 2019, ended on Sunday Nov. 10, 2019, with an Huzur sermon at the early part of the day.
