communal service should be a priority to every youth – ariyibi
The State Public Relations Officer for the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State chapter, Com. Adebare Ariyibi, has charged the Youth of Ogun State to take community service as a priority for societal development.
Ariyibi, responding to an Interview on an indigenous programme, ‘Ki lon sele?’, aired on Ogun State Television, OGTV, on Monday afternoon, stated communal service as a watchword of the Council.
In his address, Ariyibi reiterated the commitment and readiness of the new leadership of the Council, led by Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelagbe, to ensure a vigorous youth-capacity building and development in Ogun State. To further promote youth inclusion in governance, Ariyibi appealed to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to continue walk the talk on promoting the Youth for political offices in his administration.
Citing the immediate past Chairman of the Council, Com. (Prince) Adeleke Adebajo, as a resourceful Youth with a wide experience in the coordination of youth, Ariyibi expressed his confidence in the capacity of the Youth of the state to perform beyond expectations if appointed for any political position.
The new leadership of the state’s Council, according to Ariyibi, has commenced implementation of the Progressive Roadmap – being the service delivery contract with the Youth of Ogun State.
