salako –oyedele hosts youth leaders of ogun state

The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Eng. (Mrs.) Noimot Salako–Oyedele hosted the leadership of Ogun State Youth Council today January 14, 2020.
The Courtesy Visit held at the Office of the Deputy Governor at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, had in attendance representatives of various faith-based, uniform and non-uniform organizations including the Red Cross, Boy’s Brigade, Girl’s Guide, African Lads and Lasses, Man’ O War, Scouts Association, Girl’s Brigade, Majlis Khuddam, Shamsideen Guard, and Community-based organizations among others.
In his opening remark, the Chairman of the Council, Com. Abdul–Jabar Ayelaagbe, commended the efforts of the state government over the youth capacity-building and developmental programmes opened to the public since assumption of office. The visit availed the Council an opportunity to discuss the efforts of the leadership in improving the condition of the youth constituency. He however charged the government, through the Deputy Governor of the State, to ensure the interest and welfare of the Youth remains a priority at all times.
The Deputy Governor in her response appreciated the leadership of the Youth Council with an admonition on the need for the Youths to be creative in bringing value to the society. According to the host, the recent appointment of a Commissioner for Youth and Sports is expected to bring more solace to the Youth’s challenges as there shall be a better channel of securing the government’s attention at all times.
However, the State Secretary of the Council, Akolawole Shoremi, presenting a vote of thanks on behalf of the Delegation urged the Deputy Governor to ensure that a window of access is always left open for the Youth to make consultations whenever the need arises.
