The Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina, has promised a continuous agricultural engagement with the members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State chapter, who are interested in any of its Ministry's agricultural programs.
This promise was made during the Courtesy Visit made to his office by the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Abeokuta North Local Government Branch, on the 5th of February, 2020.
The Commissioner commended the Branch's Executives on the effective representation to ensure that Youths of the state are productively engaged in the state's empowerment programs in other to reduce unemployment rate, adding that the Ministry has put in place various agricultural programs such as N-Agric, Anchor Borrowers, Fadama and lots more.
According to Odedina, the Ministry's door is open to any farmer’s association or individuals interested in the agricultural revolution currently ongoing in the state.
In his response, the Coordinator of Abeokuta North Local Government Branch of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Emmanuel Ojo, appreciated the Commissioner on his willingness to identify with the Council. He enumerated the purpose of the visit while reiterating the Youth Council as the mouth piece for all youth bodies in the Local Government, State, and nation at large.
Comrade Isarinde, a Farmer and Ex-officio of the Council's Branch, applauded the agricultural programs of the administration of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun saying that they will undoubtedly reduce unemployment rate in the state.
