ogun youth celebrates baba obasanjo at 83

The youths of Ogun State, on March 5, 2020, joined the rest of the world to celebrate a global Leader and indigenous son of Ogun state, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on the occasion of his 83rd birthday celebration.

In his birthday greetings, the State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe, described Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as a global hero and Statesman, astute Politician, and an agro-entreprenuer whose achievements remain unquantifiable in several spheres of life.

“You remain our own Legend, Baba.

“You are to Africa what oxygen is to life. Very few men can be privileged to have achieved this much in their lifetime. Like the rest of us, we are certain you would have lost count of your many success tales. The youth constituency continues to pride in you as our own,” Ayelaagbe’s address reads in part.

A stage play titled ‘AREMU’, which kickstarted the birthday celebration for this year, was shown at the main hall of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in the evening of March 4, 2020. The play witnessed a large audience of youths and eminent sons and daughters of the state including Governor Dapo Abiodun who gave a warm address in admiration of the celebrant.
